In pursuit of the perfect Christmas tree

My family doesn't have many traditions of our own, but one that we do have is going as a family to pick out our Christmas tree. Each year we go to a Christmas Tree Farm and pick out the "perfect" tree, chop it down, bring it home where I string the lights and then it is up to the boys to decorate it. They each get a side of the tree and they decorate it with all of their ornaments that they have received or made over the years.

The only challenge with this tradition is that my version of the "perfect" tree and the boys version of the perfect tree varies greatly. As the boys have gotten older the family tradition has turned into a greater challenge, they just want to cut down the tree and get the "fun" over.

But alas with much persistance and patience, we always find the perfect tree.

When you are surrounded by family and friends - it's not such a bad tree after all - we just need a little love change our view.

It wouldn't be perfect without "Snoopy".
